Who we are
TuitionAkka is a Victorian Curriculum learning tool for Australian households. The parent holds the login. Children are profiles on that household account — we do not create child emails or public student pages.
This deployment is operated for invited households. For a formal APP entity notice (legal name, ABN, address), ask the operator below — complete those details before any paid or broad marketing use.
What we store
- Parent email and password hash (via Supabase Auth)
- Household display name and country (default AU)
- Child first name, year level, and versioned consent records
- Practice attempts, answers, scores, and mastery snapshots
We do not collect payment card details. TuitionAkka is free for friends and families — there is no trial or subscription checkout.
Why we store it
So a parent can manage children, practise published topics, see mastery on the sticker wall, and so scoring stays inside the database (answers are graded in SQL; answer keys are never shown to parents or children in the browser).
Who can see it
Row Level Security limits household data to the signed-in parent family. Content staff may publish curriculum without reading student attempts. Only a separate system-admin role (rarely granted) can view household practice data for support. We do not sell personal information.
Where it lives
Hosting is intended for Sydney-region infrastructure (Australia). Local development uses a machine-local Supabase stack. Ask the operator if you need the live region for a deployed environment.
Your choices
Parents can soft-remove a child profile from the table (practice history stays with the household). You can request account closure by contacting the operator. Password reset uses the parent email only. Complaints about Australian Privacy Principles handling may also be taken to the OAIC.
Contact
For privacy questions, email the person who shared TuitionAkka with you. Operators should set OPERATOR_CONTACT_EMAIL on the host so this page shows a stable address.
